Monteverde Cloud Forest Zip Lines
Selvatura is a private conservation project comprised of 750 acres of primary cloud forest. This forest is adjacent to the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve so it is quite extensive.
Here is an exciting way to experience kilometers of cloud forest and your feet will rarely touch the ground!

Selvatura's Canopy Tour is one of the safest and most thrilling adventures of all time. The visitors will be able to see the marvels of the primary cloud forest from a bird's eye view. It is also possible to observe some of the cloud forest's most amazing flora and fauna including a wide variety of epiphytes, monkeys and exotic birds. Surely this tour is the experience of a lifetime.
Our tour consists of 15 platforms connected by stainless steel cables on which our visitors cruise through primary cloud forest while being attached by a top class security harness. The total length of the tour is 1.9 miles (3 kilometers) cruising through altitudes of up to 300 feet (100 meters). This tour also features the longest single cable, 700 meters, and an optional tarzan swing. All of Selvatura's Canopy guides are highly trained for maximum safety.
RATES include tax and transportation to and from most Monteverde hotels:
Each person 12 years or older is $45 US
Each person younger than12 years old is $30US
Each student with a student I.D. is $35 US
Pick up time from your hotel depends on which hotel you are staying at, usually it will be about half an hour prior to your requested tour time

Selvatura's Treetop Walkways is a 1.9 mile (approximately
3 kilometer ) trail that crosses through the cloud
forest, in which our visitors will walk through eight different bridges from
various lengths ranging between
150 feet ( 50 meters ) up to 510 feet ( 170 meters ) and altitudes ranging
between 36 feet ( 12 meters ) up
to 180 feet ( 60 meters ). Each of the bridges feature a five foot width, the
widest ones in the country,
and also a capacity of up to 80 people per bridge making them both the longest
and strongest bridge system
in Costa Rica. The treetop walkways are suitable for people of all ages and
physical condition. Guided and
self guided tours may be booked in advance, and the duration of the tour is
usually between 1.5 and 2 hours.
The cost for the entrance to the Walkways trail with 8 suspension bridges is $25 for regulars, $20 for students with I.D. and $15 for children under 12 years old including entrance to the forest bridges, transportation to and from most Monteverde hotels and tax .
To have a guided tour with a Cloud Forest Naturalist Guide on the Walkways Suspension Bridges and Trails the price is $40 for regulars, $35 for students with I.D. and $30 for children under 12 (tour lasts about 2 hours).
