The families participating in the Monteverde Homestay program look forward to sharing 
culture, languages, meals and their homes with you. 

Most of the homestay families are in an excellent location, a short walk to the Ecological Farm, Butterfly Garden, Orchid Garden and Hidden Valley waterfall trails.  Some of the homes are near the Santa Elena Reserve while others are closer to the Monteverde Preserve.

The option for longer stays include the following:

  1. A freindly, clean and comfortable home 
  2. Private bedroom 
  3. Shared or separate bathroom with shower facility
  4. Three meals per day
  5. Laundry service

Vegetarians can be easily accomodated as the staple food here is rice and beans and there are plenty of vegetables and fresh fruits prepared. 

Daily Rates:

Alternatively we offer daily homestay rates that include breakfast only and no laundry service, $25 per person per night tax included.
